I'm lucky enough to be home with my daughter most days while my husband works. When he comes home, I head to work for a few hours. I also have the help of my mom and brother when there is a client or workshop I occasionally need to do during the day. They are generous enough to give up their lunch breaks or occasionally even take a day off of work themselves to allow me to keep my business afloat.
There are days like today when my husband goes in to work early so that he can get home early enough for me to teach a workshop to my corporate clients while their staff is there during regular business hours. And there is occasionally a workshop or event that I can bring my daughter with me thanks to the kindness and patience of my regular attendees.
My business is not in the growing phase right now. In fact it has cut back a lot since having my daughter seven months ago. Like the lotus flower, this is a time of rest on the work front while still maintaining there will be something left to grow when my daughter is a little older.
I'm so grateful for my family's amazing help. I'm grateful for my husband's flexibility to arrange his schedule so I can keep some of my workshops going during this time. I'm grateful for my mom's willingness to come on her lunch breaks or even take a day off every now and then so I can keep clients happy. I'm so grateful for my brother who is an amazing uncle and gives his lunch breaks at least once a week to allow me to keep up with my clientele. And I'm grateful for my clients that have been so patient and loving as I make this transition. I am truly blessed and so so grateful!
Who helps you? When did you need to rely on someone else and who stepped up?
May today remind us that we are not alone. May we give thanks to those who help support us, physically being there or sending love and support however they can. Have a beautiful day!
