His flight got delayed last night and not wanting his pregnant wife driving tired he found a ride home. But when he arrived all four of his girls were waiting at the front door, Yes, even the baby in my belly decided to make her acrobatic show since we were all up. Hugs and stories ensued and it was nearly 4 am before we settled back in for some sleep. It was worth it!
I'm so grateful my love is back from his trip. I'm grateful to hear about all of his adventures. I'm grateful to see pictures of the wedding and the beautiful bride. I'm grateful for the new friends he made that brought him home so I would not have to drive so late. I'm grateful that while he was gone he found some awesome wooden fish for our little sweetie's ocean room. And I'm grateful to have gotten to sleep in next to him.
It is said that absence can make the heart grow fonder. I don't know that I am any fonder, as I was already madly in love, but it sometimes the distance and time can refresh all the little things that get overlooked in day to day life. So who has been away in your life and it may be time to reconnect? Who do you miss when they travel?
May today remind us that time is precious. May we find opportunities to connect with the ones we love today. Have a beautiful day!
