I'm grateful for the filtered water that tastes so good to drink and keeps me hydrated. I'm grateful for the frozen water that I can add to my drink to cool down. I'm grateful for the water that comes from the hose to keep my new tree and blackberry bushes alive during this hot, dry season. I'm grateful for the water in the lakes and pools that allow a fun way to cool off in the afternoons. I'm grateful that for the first time this summer I will actually get to go to the pool to enjoy not only the cool water but also the weightlessness and relief from the extra weight pregnancy has brought.
I'm grateful for the symbolism of water as life force and nourishment. I'm grateful for the symbolism in different types of water, such as a river always moving, changing, and flowing. I'm grateful for the home I feel in the water both when swimming and when scuba diving as I observe the feelings and sights around me. I'm grateful for a baby's room painted as an underwater adventure with textured sand and sunken ship. I'm grateful to pass on my love and my respect of the water to this child and I hope she loves it as much as I do.
