I'm so grateful for a holiday to remind me to unplug and put away the electronics that I have become so dependent on. I'm grateful for the awareness of those who started this holiday to concede to the fact that during the work day this is not possible for most of us as emails need answering, etc. I'm grateful to take time this evening without my computer or cell phone and I'm even more grateful that this will come pretty easily as I will be on a road trip during that time. While it will not be as grounding as last year when I simply sat out in the yard and gazed out over a campfire at the woods, I am still grateful to shut my phone and computer off. I'm grateful to know that I can take time like this, unplugging and reconnecting to nature, anytime not just the one time of year holiday. I'm grateful to try to do this each week at the very least and I'm grateful for how I feel afterwards. On a separate note, I'm grateful for the moon being so full and bright this morning that I do not even need a lamp on to do my blog this morning. Perhaps the moon is assisting my celebration of unplugging.
When was the last time you unplugged from your electronics? When was the last time you turned off your phone, computer, and tv and just went out to the park or yard to recharge? May your day support you in recharging, however that may look for you. Have a beautiful day and a wonderful weekend!
