I believe we have everything we need to succeed. And I say this at a time where my business has fewer clients than I would like. The truth is that I have all the marketing techniques, programs, and business advice I need to take the next step and bring my business into full swing. I can give excuses like "well the holidays are coming up" but the truth is the only thing holding me back is myself. I have every tool I need and I have a great network to learn the things I do not yet know that I need to learn. I believe a lot of us hide behind excuses like money or time or having people that are depending on us from using those tools and those sources of knowledge that are readily available. I think that a lot of that stems from the fear of failure or the comfort of the "known evil". I hear people staying in jobs that they hate because at least it is a job and while I do not recommend just up and quitting before you have something else lined up, many aren't even looking. It is scary to step out there and look for something new especially if you have a family and bills relying on you. But you do deserve to be happy. We all deserve to live in joy. Gratitude can help make the current situation more positive and courage is what gives you the power to make those changes. I'm grateful to have part-time work to rely on to supplement my income when my business is slow. I'm grateful to not give up when I hit a few bumps in the road. I'm grateful for the amazing network of people I have in my life, both personal and professional, that are my sounding boards and my confidantes. I'm grateful to have a push to begin marketing for a new workshop series that will start soon geared toward mothers and their pre-teen to young adult daughters to build healthy self-image and relationships. I'm grateful to see what tools I have and how I can use them in the next steps of business. I'm grateful to be navigating entrepreneurship at a fairly young age so that it can be a solid foundation by the time I have a family. I'm grateful to spread my message of gratitude and courage even when it is a reflection of my own imperfect perfection. And I'm grateful for those of you that can translate that and see it as a reflection in your own life. Are you living and working the life you dream? What holds you back? Beyond all the excuses, do you recognize all the tools you have available to you? May you see how full your toolbox really is and may you find gratitude and courage to live a life you love. Have a beautiful day, everyone!
