It has been hard for me to not be as hands on and helpful as I normally am, though I have found some other projects to work on here and there. But part of me has just been missing our normal evenings together, though he does his best to accommodate.
The other day a package arrived in the mail. I didn't think much about it, figuring it was project supplies or something he was needing for work. Instead he came and gave me the box and said he had ordered me something. There were a couple picture frames in the box which I love and then there was a small little bag. Inside the bag was a token that said, "I love you to the moon and back."
Many people do not know that I love carrying little "tokens" around with me in my pockets or sock hems. Usually those tokens are small crystals or something of meaning that I found hiking or other small reminders of my connection to nature and love. And so he got me this gift, this token, that even more than the words itself the gesture fills me with love.
I am so blessed and grateful for my husband. I'm grateful for the life we are building together. I'm grateful for his patience with me when I cannot help with certain things right now. I'm grateful for all the hard work he does every day to make our house a home and keeping up with his regular work on top of the extra projects. I'm grateful for his smile and the way his eyes light when he is being silly. I'm grateful for his strong arms when he wraps them around me. And I'm grateful to say that I am his wife and he is my husband and I love him to the moon and back.
Who are you grateful for in your life? Have you told them lately what you appreciate about them? Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference and we all need to hear we are appreciated from time to time.
May today bless you with time spent with those you love. May you find the words to express your gratitude to those who make a difference in your life. Have a beautiful day!
