I'm a strong believer that diet goes a long way to supporting us in more ways that just satisfying hunger. Spinach is a natural hormone balancer (those of you with preteen/teen daughters, take note). It has great nutritional value being a dark green leafy veggie as well.
Knowing this information, my sweet girl and I took a trip to the grocery store yesterday to get some spinach. At the advice of a friend, these outings are also helping to boost my confidence as a mom. And Lydia has been a superstar in that area, sleeping through my whole grocery list and contently listening to music once we made it back to the car.
I'm so grateful for a plan of action. I'm grateful for all the supports I have in my life. I'm grateful for spinach, especially in my eggs. I'm grateful for snuggles and to have gotten a little more sleep last night. I'm grateful for renewed hope and laughter as it comes. I'm grateful for all the amazing people that reached out yesterday. I'm grateful to know it will be ok and after that it will be great again. And most of all I'm grateful for this beautiful miracle child and the blessings she has brought to my life.
