I love that my husband's family came to my family's Thanksgiving celebration yesterday. It was fun to see them all talking and interacting. Our families are actually more similar that it may seem. And it warms my heart to be with so many loved ones on the holiday.
Today we will have a smaller celebration at home with just my in-laws. My husband and brother-in-law will be taking over the majority of the cooking, which is truly something I am thankful for! And with the amazing food my brother and sister brought up with them it is bound to be delicious! I get to spend time with my niece and daughter and watch as the two cousins get to know each other. It will be a beautiful day!
I'm so grateful for family. I'm grateful to have such a close-knit family and I'm grateful to have extended that through marriage. I'm grateful for my husband's family traveling to us for the holiday and still taking over the majority of the cooking. I'm truly blessed and grateful to be so cared for this year.
I'm grateful to have stayed up for a little while last night in conversation with our guests. I'm grateful to let go of the schedule today and sleep in to get some much needed rest. And I'm grateful to wake to see my sweet daughter, who is three months old today. She is my miracle and I'm so grateful.
How can you continue the gratitude of the holiday? What are you thankful for today?
May today continue to fill us with gratitude. May we recognize our blessings and carry this warmth through the rest of the year. Have a beautiful day!
