I would like to start today by saying I am grateful for signs and symbolism that show up each day. I'm most grateful when the messages and symbols come to me in an easy, loving way. That has not been the case with one particular reoccurring message lately. Ticks. I'm not grateful for ticks but I am grateful for signs that can not be ignored. Clearly there is a message here that I am needing to receive. First being that I need to find a better natural bug repellant (haha). So today as I treat my over 100 tick bites (after having sustained 35-40 only a few weeks ago) I sit here to contemplate what the message is so that I can stop this from occurring again. A couple months ago snakes kept appearing to me which was a much easier symbol to interpret beings I have done a lot of snake totem work. Snakes represent both the masculine but also the balance of feminine with masculine within each of us. It represents the Kundalini energy/ power we hold.. They also remind us of the cyclic nature of everything. (I could go on and on.) And so today I contemplate ticks. Well, ticks find a host and then survive by sucking the blood until they are engorged. There is the clear message of discernment and watching relationships that take more than they give, perhaps even the feeling of being taken advantage. A good friend, Sheryl, (http://www.journeyofpossibilities.com) took that idea one step further suggesting parasitic relationships that needed removed with care (getting the whole head out) but also feeding myself with the right energy. As I have said so many times on here, everything is a reflection, right?! It appears I need to be watchful of my relationships, not just who drains me but also to who I am attached. I'm grateful to my friends and to this community for being a great sounding board for me as I navigate this world! I'm grateful for any ideas you may have to expand on this message because I sure what to get the message so this doesn't continue to happen! And I'm grateful for tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar to take the itch away! What messages have been popping up in your life?
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
