Here in the States, today is Veteran's Day. A day to honor those who fought for freedom or protected the innocent. Today is also 11/11 which has a special significance to me as new beginnings. Different days have different significance to different people depending on their circumstances, experiences, religious background, etc. Some days, like today we choose to recognize as a nation in honor of a particular group. I love days of honor and days of celebration. When we come together with a common intention to recognize a particular set of traits or group of people we help create a unified love. To me, that makes each day of joint celebration significant. I'm grateful to have a calendar full of significant dates. I'm grateful to create an intention of love, respect, and honor today for those who served. I'm grateful to honor their bravery and commitment to their fellow people. I'm grateful to believe that there is a way to find peace in the World. I'm grateful to honor my own bravery in standing up for the things I believe are right. I'm grateful to see the bravery of others who stand up for their beliefs each day. I'm grateful for one love, shared, despite any differences in belief. I'm grateful to create an intention today to walk in love today. I'm grateful to acknowledge with pride those who have done their best, just as I do mine. Today let's honor those who served, with peace and love. As the first tiny snow falls here in the heartland, I'm grateful to know my cold hands reflect my warm heart. Who are you honoring today? How can you honor those same traits in yourself? Have a beautiful day, everyone. May you walk your path in pride, filled with love.
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
