I will admit I really enjoyed my husband's two weeks off and the couple days I took off work as well. It was nice sleeping in and just tooling around on our own schedule. At the same time I think we are all ready for a little structure back in the day, especially our two-year-old.
I'm grateful to wake before my alarm, as usual. I'm grateful for my daughter's excitement when I told her yesterday she was going back to swim lessons today. I'm grateful to have gotten more time home with my dog over the break so she didn't have to spend so much time alone. I'm grateful for all the days of catching up on sleep and I'm grateful to wake today without feeling too tired. I'm grateful for the consistency routine brings us and how it helps my daughter to expect and accept what will happen next.
I'm grateful my husband has lots of time off at the end of the year. I'm grateful my job is flexible to take some time too. I'm grateful for all the fun we had together going to the zoo and even just playing around the house. I'm grateful for how much time we got to spend with family over winter break. I'm grateful to kick back off the schedule and the year on a positive note.
What is your favorite part about your daily routine? What gratitude can you find in your day today?
May we find joy in what we do. May our routine propel us forward rather than keeping us stuck in an unhealthy loop. May we take each step today with purpose and joy. Have a beautiful day!
