I'm grateful for reflection in all it's many forms. Today I am in quiet reflection as I wake up slowly from a peaceful night's sleep. I'm grateful for the reflection in the mirror. I'm grateful for the sun reflecting off the beveled glass on the front door casting prisms about the room. I'm grateful for all the ways I am reflected back to myself in everything I see. Tonight is another Full Moon. What better example of reflection than that of the moon reflecting the light of the sun to us? It is the light in the darkness and yet it is not something the moon stresses over and strives to achieve. It happens because the moon allows itself to be that mirror. I hope that there is some of that reflection for you in my gratitude each day. I hope that it brings a little light to the day. But it is not my job to try and make that light or to force anyone to see it. So while I hope for it, I am also letting go of any concern for that outcome because I benefit just from sharing and honoring my gratitude out loud each day. Tonight I will go out with a great community to meditate and celebrate the full moon and this wonderful place we live. If you would like to join, we will be at Loose Park in KC from about 7-10. If you would like to join in the meditation spiritually, from wherever you are, we will be beginning that at 9. (For those of you that checked the calendar, it says 8 but it has been moved to 9). I hope everyone has a beautiful day and sees their beauty reflected
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
