This book is an inside look at Narcolepsy, how it impacts having a "normal" life, and the spiritual nature of dreams. Anyone who knows me knows that I love dreams. I have some pretty fantastic, elaborate, and intense dreams. Narcolepsy also runs in my family so I just had to read this book.
The author, Brenda A. Moore did a fantastic job of showing how dreams can have a variety of purposes and meanings. While we don't agree on all aspects of dreams, she is quite and inspiration to me. She conveyed personal power beautifully and how determination can pay off. She opened the door between religion and the spirit world, showing how they can work side by side.
I'm grateful for this book. I'm grateful for the author showing courage and determination in putting her story out there to spread awareness about Narcolepsy and dreams. I'm grateful for an easy read while still gaining so much information. And I'm so grateful for the dialog it opened with my mom about Narcolepsy in our family. It is a book we both related to and I'm grateful to be able to share it with my family.
