I'm grateful for nature. I'm grateful to get my hands dirty in the earth last night and get some yard work done. I'm grateful for the beautiful temperatures and sunshine. I'm grateful for the rain that moved in overnight to water the plants in the yard. I'm grateful for blossoms on the cherry tree and apple trees. I'm grateful for the promise of fruit. I'm so grateful for the rain nurturing these plants to continue the cycle of giving. The rain holds special importance to me both in its physical nourishment and in the symbolism it provides. Rain speaks, to me, as a cleansing and a letting go of what is no longer necessary. Rinsing the dirt from the leaves; washing the wounds from the heart. It symbolizes courage and facing my fears as the lightning crashes and within that ruckus I find comfort. Yet within all this cleansing and crashing it also provides an essential element of life; water and love. The cycle of giving and receiving is shown so well through the rain cycle. I'm grateful to live in a world full of symbolism. I'm grateful for all the loving messages I see in nature. I'm grateful for the rain blessing over the plants. What symbolism do you find in nature? How can you take example from nature and cleanse your mind of the "dirt" that has coated your thoughts? Today, to quote Frozen, "let it go". And have a beautiful day!
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
