I'm grateful to sleep in a little today. I'm grateful for the flexibility of my schedule to shift my hours a little and to take care of myself, listening to what my body needs. I'm grateful to release judgement and begin my day now, understanding that I acknowledged my needs and did what was best. I'm grateful for the rain still falling outside that provided a nice melody to my slumber. I'm grateful to let it wash away my worries and soothe my mind. What judgements or worries are you holding on to this morning? How can you acknowledge them and then release them? Holding on to worry or judgement does not help us, make us more productive, or keep us more accountable. It simply gives us stress and unhappiness. By acknowledging and then refocusing on what we need to do and letting the rest wash away we free our minds to be more focused on the solution and getting it done. What will you get done today? By focusing on what we will DO, like in focusing on what we are grateful for, we direct our thoughts towards the positive and pro-active mindset. This is where the power to create lies. I'm so grateful to focus on what I will work on today, knowing it will get done. I'm grateful to know there is plenty of time for all my "to do's". I'm grateful to balance my needs with the needs of others. And I'm grateful for the rain that provides a soothing, steady drumbeat to my day. May your day be blessed with the steady drum of peace.
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
