I love the smells of pumpkin spice and fresh made breads and pies and all the other wonderful baking that gets done this time of year. I'm love butternut squash soup and chili as the weather turns cooler.
I love the crisp mornings but the ability for the sun to still warm the day to the sixties so I can still enjoy the outdoors without my winter coat. I love outings to the pumpkin patch and the cider mill. And I love all the events there are this time of year.
I'm grateful for all these things and I'm grateful for the way it uplifts me. I'm grateful for the leaves turning to their rich, Autumn colors. I'm grateful for the changing seasons. I'm grateful to live in an area that has so many activities and celebrations this time of year. I'm grateful for all the small town parades and craft sales. I'm grateful for the smells, sights, and sounds as my senses fall in love with this season all over again. I'm grateful to have a wonderful, fun family to share this time.
What is your favorite thing to do this time of year? When was the last time you dressed up for Halloween? What is your favorite seasonal food? How can you celebrate this season and every season?
May today reignite our wonder and bliss at the world around us. May we find joy in the simple pleasures. Have a beautiful day!
