We ended up with very little sleep because my daughter had a rough time adjusting to settling down and sleeping in the camper but we had a ton of fun too.
The zoo provided half a day of excitement as she got to see some of her favorite animals including the Giraffe and the Orangutan-tan-tan-tan. She got to play in the misters and touch a tiger pelt. She got to walk through a jungle with spider monkeys and then through a tunnel of fish all around.
While I return home fully exhausted I am also somehow recharged. My spirit is refreshed even if my body is still tired. It was a wonderful trip and I could not be more grateful to my parents for all their help in making this trip possible.
I'm so grateful to get to go on a vacation with my daughter and parents. I'm grateful for the wonderful bond they have. I'm grateful for all the help and for the convenience and comfort of a camper instead of pitching a tent with a toddler running around. I'm grateful for the delicious food and all the fun we packed into the weekend. I'm grateful to come home to a clean house, making the effort before we left completely worth it. I'm grateful for the Henry Doorly Zoo and the amazing exhibits they have that help feel like you are a part of the real habitat, or as best you can at a zoo. I'm grateful for all the animals that are being rehabilitated and those who are being protected from extinction. I'm grateful for the fun and chaos of the Children's Museum. I'm grateful for the variety of fun, hands-on activities even for a two year old. I'm grateful for a wonderful trip and beyond grateful for all the amazing support and love we receive from my parents.
How was your weekend? Where would you like to go for a short getaway? What are you grateful for today?
May today allow us the fun of dreaming big while allowing us to be grateful for where we are now. May we find a balance and fill our cup with gratitude and love. Have a beautiful day!
