It was not all rough and tumble times though... ok mostly it was but there were gentle times too. He was the one that carried me to bed when my parents were out to a business dinner and I got horrible stomach cramps. And I always knew he had my back when it came to the big stuff, like boyfriends. That's what big brothers are for right? So today I would like to share my gratitude about my brother.
I'm grateful for all the shenanigans we came up with together. I'm grateful that most the pranks he pulled did little more than deter me from trying new foods for a few years. I'm grateful for all his expertise in fitness and health so at least when I am eating my cheeseballs I understand why it's not the most healthy option, haha! I'm grateful to know that he always has my back and I'm grateful he looks the role as well. I'm grateful for all our adventures that became epic stories. And I'm grateful for his story telling skills that make the these memories come alive... even if a few details get elaborated. I'm grateful to have such a good big brother and as he turns a year older today I'm grateful to know that age is just a number. You're only as old as you act and in that area I think we are both doing just fine.
Do you have siblings? What kind of shenanigans did you get into as a kid? Which ones would be written in the pages of your memoirs?
May today remind us of our youth. May we find time to play and laugh. May we honor those who shared our early years with us. Have a beautiful day!
