Lately I have been presented with quite a few opportunities that sounded wonderful but then at the time of action I hesitated, made excuses, or rethought it to the point of indecision. Each time stalling until the decision was made for me. I would love to say this is not like me and I always boldly go after new opportunities. The truth is I get excited easily and initially agree and then either step back and realize I've agreed to something I can't actually fit in my schedule or else I second guess my qualification or commitment to it. In fact, the only thing I seem to be able to throw myself off the cliff in confidence I will fly is gratitude. So that is where my focus will lie today. I'm grateful for this observation about my patterns. I'm grateful to know that with this realization and mindfulness I can change these patterns. I'm grateful for a new day. I'm grateful that there are still lots of possibilities open to me that I can practice thinking first and then following through on pursuing. I'm grateful to remember that I am qualified for the opportunities that are presented. And I'm grateful to know I am smart enough to learn anything new I need to learn to fulfill these opportunities. I'm grateful to focus today on which steps I will take next and plan instead of hopping in then walking back. I'm grateful to commit to finishing the projects I have started and tying up some loose ends to allow me more time to pursue some new opportunities. I'm grateful for all the people that seek me out for my perspective and guidance and I'm grateful to commit to giving them my best. I'm grateful to know my path is supported and that I can take the leaps of faith whenever I choose. I'm grateful to see the cliff edge and know I have wings to fly. I'm grateful to have the Cliffs of Mohr as a memory to draw visuals from as I take these steps. I'm grateful for this beautiful world. What patterns do you notice in your actions? What opportunities have showed up for you? Did you boldly take action or hesitate? I'm so grateful to share my story and my journey with you. I'm grateful to hear about your journey as well. May your day be blessed with gratitude and may you step off the "cliff" of opportunity knowing you have wings.
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
