I'm grateful this morning to have taken the time to take care of me first. Sometimes when I wake I hop on here immediately to share with you my gratitude before nurturing myself. Some days that is in my best interests. Today, I'm grateful to recognize that while I woke grateful, I was feeling unbalanced from a long night of interrupted sleep. I'm grateful to take the time to honor that and spend time meditating, doing yoga, and even being out in nature with my garden before opening to you all this morning. I'm grateful to feel balanced and at peace as I write this. I'm grateful to find gratitude in the sun being bright and full as it climbs the house to nurture my garden this afternoon. I'm grateful for the calm, lulling sound of the sprinkler in the garden that is itself a meditation for me. I'm grateful to cook myself a delicious and healthy breakfast and take the time to eat it undistracted by computers or phones. I'm grateful for the soft breeze of the fan that cools me. I'm grateful to start my computer, truly ready to work now. I'm grateful for the flexibility of my schedule that allows me to honor my needs. How do you honor your needs within what your schedule allows? How do you find balance on the days that demand more, such as being pressed for time or extra work waiting for you? One thing I have found is listening to either very cheerful music or instrumental music can help to uplift or calm me on my drive if I did not have time before leaving home. And on nice days like this, simply driving with no music and just the windows down listening to the orchestra of the traffic can be enough. Today, I am grateful to work from home. I'm grateful to start my day in peace and gratitude, nurturing myself. May today offer you plenty of opportunities to nurture yourself and
