Normalcy is part of healing and moving forward. It is the return to usual activities and adapting to what life is looks like now.
It is back to playdates and errands. Time to get back to cleaning the house and get some things put away that are no longer needed.
Yesterday we jumped back in feet first and it went really well. Each day will continue to be more normal as we get back to the routines. But for today it is still one step at a time and that starts with taking a moment to listen to the birds sing.
I'm grateful to be sleeping deeper and catching up on sleep as best I can. I'm grateful to hear the birds singing their song this morning. I'm grateful to find words that seem to soothe my toddler. I'm grateful for the loving spirit of our dog Pippin, who is doing her best to shower us with love. I'm grateful to know that our dog Austin is at peace. I'm grateful to know our hearts will heal and that we have the love and support of so many people as we return to our normal schedules. And I'll say it again, I'm grateful for the birds singing outside, reminding me it is a new beautiful day.
What does normalcy look like for you? What is your favorite sounds to kick off a normal day?
May today help to heal all wounds. May we pause long enough to find gratitude in the beauty around us. Have a beautiful day!
