When worded that way it seems an easy choice. The underlying question is, with a whole week off work, will I still be able to pay the bills? It doesn't change the answer to the other question, merely opens another avenue of choices on how to make up for the income lost. And there are choices, ranging from packing my schedule next week to more economical meal planning to selling something.
Don't get me wrong, money is not so bad that I am in danger of missing payments or anything. But our financial security is one topic always at the forefront of my mind as I make choices because it is not just me dependent on holding up my end. Money is a "stressor" that I choose, it is an awareness that I choose to be important.
The most important choice I will make is how I will choose to feel about the choices I have. Will I choose to be frustrated and grumpy or will I choose to find a way to look at the bright side?
Today I choose health over money. I choose taking care of myself and allowing myself to heal. I choose taking care of my clients and respecting their health by not risking giving them this awful bug. And I choose to accept that there will be other choices made to accommodate this choice. Today, I will choose to be grateful and positive.
I'm grateful to recognize everything is a choice. I'm grateful to make choices to support my health and my priorities. I'm grateful to know that there are other choices to meet my other needs. I'm grateful to be getting better each day. I'm grateful to have a husband with a salary job that provides consistent income. I'm grateful to be part of a team, my family.
What choices are you making today? How can your choices be seen in a positive way?
May today remind us that, when it comes to our outlook, we are in charge. May we use that power to make positive decisions. Have a beautiful day!
