Last night my daughter and I stood on the front steps talking about the moon. As any conversation with a one year old goes, every other word or so was "moon". But it seemed to be an exciting conversation no-the-less.
Going to bed the moonlight shone through the window. And with the time change in effect the sun rose not too long after I got up. The shadows have been chased away for the moment as light shines through.
I'm grateful to share these moments with my daughter. I'm grateful to watch her language expand and see her enthusiasm blossom at things even I take for granted. I'm grateful for some sunshine. I'm grateful for the light of the moon. I'm grateful for light filling me and reminding me of my own light shining bright. I'm grateful for the light my daughter brings to my life.
What is lighting your life? When was the last time you gave pause to enjoy the sky?
May today bring light to our lives. May we find joy in the simple things. Have a beautiful day!
