One benefit of the time change and the days growing shorter is the opportunity to have some moon time before it is actually late. The sun has been going down before six which leaves time to go out and soak up the moonlight. And with the super moon a couple nights ago it made it all the more beautiful. That said, I still missed it Sunday night. Last night I caught some moonlight and inspired my wonder-lust on the way home from work.
I'm grateful for the way the clouds drift passed a full moon. I'm grateful for the brightness in the otherwise dark night. I'm grateful for the face I see in the craters and shadows of its surface. I'm grateful for the joy it fills me with as my wonder-lust ignites. I'm grateful for the beauty it gives to my commute home. And I'm grateful for the ever changing cycles of the moon. I'm grateful to soak up some moon energy even if from my car. And I'm grateful to know that tonight will be another opportunity to enjoy the moon.
What do you like about the night? Have you ever just sat outside and enjoyed the light of the moon?
May today bless us with brightness in any dark moments. May we find light and joy all around us. And may we take time to give gratitude for the beauty in our lives. Have a beautiful day!
