I also brought out her giant stuffed monkey for her to roll around with this morning. Listening to her squeal, "mon-ey" in delight as she tumbles around on it is a great soundtrack to start our morning.
Making time to monkey around is important. If I find myself being too serious for too long I start mistaking myself for an adult. One of my favorite personality traits about myself is my youthful enthusiasm and playfulness. So today, we play!
I'm grateful for the excitement of "new" toys after they have been tucked away for a week. I'm grateful for morning enthusiasm and playfulness. I'm grateful for monkeys, which were one of my favorite animals growing up as well. I'm grateful for the ability to act like an adult when needed and still monkey around and be youthful when time allows. I'm grateful to start this morning with monkeys and fun.
What is your favorite way to monkey around? How can you add a little play to your day?
May today remind us that play is important no matter what age. May we find ways to be playful within our unique personalities. Have a beautiful day!
