Last night my husband and I gathered with my dad's side of the family, sharing delicious food and lots of laughter. I left feeling very uplifted to be so blessed to have such a large, loving family.
Today is when we celebrate with my mom's side of the family, but this year is extra special. My mom-in-law is coming up to join us! I am so excited to be able to share the holidays with both my husband's mom and my family. My sister-in-law's mom comes each year as well and it is so wonderful to grow the family!
Often people joke about mother-in-laws but in mine and my husband's case, we really lucked out. I am feeling overjoyed to get to have mine staying for the holiday weekend. I am so blessed.
I'm grateful for the holidays. I'm grateful to have found the joy and love that it has to offer. I'm grateful to have such a large, close family. I'm grateful to have seen aunts and cousins last night that traveled from around the U.S. to visit. I'm grateful for my sister-in-law's delicious traditional cooking and pinterest for the new tasty treat ideas. I'm grateful for my wonderful parents that are the best I could have asked for. I'm grateful for a wonderful mom-in-law that raised a wonderful, loving son. I'm grateful she is making the journey here to spend Christmas with us. And I'm grateful for our every growing family.
What is your favorite part of the holiday season? Who will you spend the holidays with this year? What are you grateful for today?
May today bless you with loving embraces. May you find family in the people around you. And may light shine in your heart. Have a beautiful day!
