Today is National May Ray Day! It's fun to say AND it's a day to celebrate going out and enjoying some sunshine in between those May showers. I'm fortunate to say that Mother Nature is cooperating here for this holiday, though I know some of the country is getting more rain and even snow today.
It is also the day before my one year anniversary! I am so blessed to have had such a beautiful year with my best friend and husband. In honor of tomorrow I will be taking vacation time with my hubby to honor the year that has passed and the many more before us, so I will not be blogging.
Between these two topics, gratitude abounds! I'm so grateful for the sunshine warming my day and allowing my garden to take a break from the rain. I'm grateful that Mother Nature cooperated with this holiday and is blessing me with sunshine. I'm grateful for my healthy, well-watered plants and their enhancement of the yard.
I'm grateful for the other ray of light in my life, my husband. I'm grateful for the fun we have together and our ability to support each other through challenges. I'm grateful for what an amazing support he has been during this pregnancy and I'm excited to see him be a daddy. I'm grateful for one year of marriage and nearly three years as friends. I'm grateful to be so blessed to be in such a wonderful relationship. I'm grateful for the many ways we are opposites and for the ways we are the same that solidify our bond. Most of all I am grateful for his big heart and his helpful, loving nature.
What are you grateful for today? Is there someone in your life that you would like to take time to honor today? Is there a way that you can soak up some sunshine? If not, perhaps you could go for a little dance in the rain.
May today bless you with internal sunshine beaming on your heart and soul. May you feel the bright and warm love of life around you. May you recognize the people in your life and the roles they play in helping you be who you are. May today be a day of blessings and gratitude bestowed upon you and the world. Have a beautiful day and weekend!
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
