I'm grateful to wake knowing I am loved. I'm grateful for dreams that reminded me of different types of love that I am fortunate enough to receive. I'm grateful for the love of two very sweet dogs. I'm grateful for the love of community and friends all over the world. I'm grateful for the love of family and extended family. And I'm grateful for romantic love and the family that creates as well. Love is a wonderful thing. It helps lift you up when you are down and gives you the power to soar. I believe that God, or the universe, or whatever you choose to call the loving power reminds us of this love in so many forms throughout our day. Some of the signs are more subtle that others. I hear it in two birds calling to mate. I see it in the look exchanged by strangers in the car next to me or in the hug of a mother to her son at the park. I feel it in the lick of my dog's tongue on my hand in the morning. I see it in the cracked shell of an egg in a bird's nest as Spring arrives. But I also see it in things that have meaning, perhaps, only to me. In my quest to understand signs a couple years ago, I created personal meaning to the numbers I see in my daily life. A 007 on a license plate reminds me to have courage, for example. The number 2 seen multiple times reminds me that everything is connected and we are never truly alone. And the number 4 reminds me of family and the love that we have for each other. I mention this because today is 4/14/14 which for me is a reminder of love and even uniqueness and individuality (1) within that love. I'm grateful for all the forms of love, real and perceived. I'm grateful to see love around me always. I'm grateful to share love with others and be a part of a larger global love. What forms of love mean the most to you? In your daily life, what symbolizes love to you? How can you spread love today? Happy Monday everyone! May it be blessed with love!
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
