Today I woke to my favorite father-daughter song (Conway Twitty's "That's My Job"). I'm grateful for songs that speak so directly to my heart. I'm even more grateful for my amazing Papa that has always been there for me. I'm grateful for his ability to calm my fears. I'm grateful for the times that he helped me pack up and drive across the country on different adventures and always had that calm reassurance for me that things would be ok or he'd be there. I'm grateful for all the things he has taught me just by being who he is. He is "James Bond in cowboy boots". I'm so grateful for him and I'm grateful for all the wonderful dads out there that giving loving reassurance to their daughters and show them how women should be treated. Who supported you as you navigated the waves of growing up? Have you told them lately you are grateful? Today is the perfect day to share that love with everyone that has made a difference in your life! Love you, Papa!
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
