Today is National Love a Tree Day and the timing is perfect because I have one in need of some love. I am a firm believer in energy and healing with positive thoughts and love so today I share my Leetee's (this little tree's) story. The sweet little tree pictured is one my husband and I purchased about a year and a half ago. This Spring we noticed that unlike it's counterpart it had fewer leaves and the last four to five inches of every branch was dead. We had the tree guy come out and look at it and he said that it was as good as dead because the ends were dead. A new tree was given to replace it and this tree dug back up. But looking at those green leaves I just could not give up on it. So my husband potted it for me and trimmed off the dead in hopes that a new branch could start somewhere else. We gave Leetee some tree food and water and last night Mother Nature provided some water of her own. I will do my best to hug my little tree and send love to it each day. But today I invite anyone willing to also send some love to this tree or any tree in need. I'm grateful for all the beauty that trees provide. I'm grateful for the clean air and shade they so generously give us. I'm grateful for the different shapes and sizes. I'm grateful for all the symbolism I see in them. I'm grateful for holidays like Arbor Day, National Hug a Tree Day, and today's National Love a Tree Day that remind us to take time to give back to these beauties. I'm grateful for Leetee and it's determination to keep trying. Do you have a tree in need? Have you ever had a favorite tree or a tree that really stood out to you? May today bless us with clean air and a beautiful, leafy environment. May we take time to give back to mother nature today and send love to the trees. Have a beautiful day! |
