I'm grateful to wake this morning with a strong message from my body ringing loud and clear. It's not that I enjoy the message of not feeling my best but I appreciate the reminder to take care of myself. I'm grateful my body can "speak out" against what it doesn't like and I'm grateful to listen. Our bodies are very knowledgeable about what they need and don't need. My body never asks for medicine first. There are over a dozen smaller signs my body gives me, asking me for rest or to eat or avoid certain foods and only then if I am not listening will it raise the stakes until I listen. I'm grateful to not ignore its signs that long usually. I'm grateful to see the love I receive through my body and all the amazing gifts it allows me to have, from the senses to physical movement. And I'm so grateful to repay those blessings by listening when it needs extra rest or certain nutrients. This morning I woke knowing I had ignored some of the early signs. I'm grateful to be listening now. What signs is your body giving you? Does it take extremes before you listen? How can you take the time to notice the subtle signs the body gives you and honor those to keep healthy? I'm grateful to be such a healthy person. I'm grateful to know my body well enough to know what I need to bounce back. I'm grateful to love and nourish my body, knowing it is the only one I get. May your day be blessed with health and happiness. May you witness the subtle signs from your body and honor its needs.
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
