I have a theory that peace, like love, is always present. We come along with our worries and stresses like the wind blowing through the trees and grasses. The grass and leaves respond by moving and shifting and fluttering around. And this gives the impression that stillness has been disturbed; that peace has left. Yet the plants seem at peace bending and shifting in the wind. Their peace remains. As soon as the wind stops, they rest again. The peace is always there within them, going with the movements of the wind. I believe that same peace is always present and waiting for us. I believe if we stepped out of our minds and stress we would see it has been there all along, waiting. Like love, peace has an open invitation to us to join. There are no monthly fees, no promises to make, it is simply there for us whenever we choose to visit and for however long we choose to stay. I'm grateful to be adapting to the energy and flow of this neighborhood. I'm grateful to hold the fields in my heart as a reminder of the stillness that is possible. I'm grateful for these quiet moments under my sunlamp looking out at the darkened woods. I'm grateful for the sunlamp that provides me with nourishing light before the sun has awaken. I'm grateful for the soft patter of rain on the skylights. I'm grateful for the invitation of peace I feel in this moment. I'm grateful to know I can let my worries go and step into this peace. I'm grateful to know that, while some days are easier to do this than others, there is no judgement in peace. I'm grateful to know that in this place of love and peace I can hear the truths about myself. I'm grateful to see my own perfection within all the characteristics that make me uniquely me. I'm grateful to share this invitation to peace with you, in case you have forgotten it is waiting. Just for this moment, can you lay your worries down? Can you see that in this moment you are cared for? Can you feel the peace? Thank you for joining me today. May your day be blessed with the awareness of always present peace. May you find ways to live in that peace more and more. Have a beautiful day!
