I'm grateful for the reminder to listen this morning. I'm grateful for the reminder that I do have inner knowledge about what is best for me and, if I listen, I can hear it at any time. Our bodies are amazing things. They know what they need to meet the demands we place on them AND to function at the highest level. If we tune into our bodies it will tell us which foods will nourish best what needs nourished within what we know. (This does not mean craving sugar when you eat candy all the time is what is best for your body, it simply means the standard the body had gotten used to has changed.) And it is not just food. Our body tells us when it needs sleep, water, exercise, etc. Our inner knowledge is so vast that if we are tuned in we can even tell what situations will be good or not so good for us to be in. Some people call this the gut response or instincts. Today I am so grateful to tune into this knowledge and quiet my mind so that I can understand what it is that I need. Today, I'm grateful to listen. And I'm grateful for the sounds of nature that provide a background melody to my day!
