I'm grateful to wake in a fantastic mood. I'm grateful to meditate and center myself this morning before starting my day. I'm grateful to greet myself in the mirror with positive affirmations of my own unique beauty. I'm grateful to be silly and sing "Hey good lookin', what ya got cookin', how's about cookin' somethin' up with me" (Hank Williams song). I'm grateful to be reminded of my grandparents when I think of this song and the amazing love they shared. I'm grateful for the love I share with my boyfriend. And all of this gratitude spiraling from one look in the mirror; telling myself I am beautiful and adding some playfulness as I give myself a wink. The way we greet ourselves in the morning lays the groundwork for the day but also lays the groundwork for a deeper self-love. We all love to hear compliments but unless we receive them, integrate them, and own them they will not truly change how we view ourselves. Repeating them to ourselves is the best way to own them. When was the last time you gave yourself a compliment? Better yet, when was the last time you stood in front of a mirror and only said positive things to yourself? I'm grateful to have found love and appreciation for the way I look. I'm grateful for the confidence it gives me. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to spread the message of Beauty Within at the Just For Her Luau on Sunday June 22nd in Olathe, KS as I speak to a whole room full of uniquely beautiful women. (If you would like more information on attending this free event email me at ReyofGratitude@gmail.com). I'm grateful to be spreading the message of self-love and gratitude and even more grateful to be living it in my own life. Today, give yourself a compliment. Let yourself know how beautiful you truly are. The people that love you see it, so open your own loving eyes to the beauty of you. Have a beautiful, blessed day! Namaste
