What if I worked to establish this same happiness reaction to the other days of the week? Could it be that each day of the week has something to be happy and grateful for? For me, my days are ever changing, doing a variety of personal coaching, massage, energy work, and workshops. I keep a weekly calendar just so my husband has some idea of where I am on different days. This fluidity of work brings me joy and it is something I look forward to each day. But what about for those with desk jobs or typical jobs that require similar tasks each day? Could there also be happiness found in that each day? I believe there can if we choose to celebrate each day and create a habit of happiness.
Perhaps using the online "every day holidays" calendar would help. Did you know today is Peach IceCream Day? It is also Yellow Pig Day! How can you distinguish every day or each day of the week as a day of celebration? For me, gratitude helps a lot with that.
I'm grateful to establish certain things to celebrate each day of the week. I'm grateful for Science Monday and little, at home experiments. I'm grateful for Tuesday night dinner with Grandpa. I'm grateful to know Wednesday nights are a time specifically set aside for "me" time. I'm grateful for Thursday Date Night this week. I'm grateful for Fridays with friends as well as Fridays spent in. I'm grateful for Saturdays because it is always changing. And I'm grateful for Sunday lunch where I get to reconnect with my family and see how the week went for everyone. I'm grateful to make each day special. And I'm grateful to continue to create and improve on these habits of happiness.
How can you make each day special? What helps you to establish a habit of happiness? May today bless you with the raised energy of a Friday. May you find joy in today and every day. Have a beautiful weekend!
