The title Gratitude Coach does not mean I am a perfect image of living in gratitude. If anything it just means I get a discount on my daily coaching services. I'm human. But I have found that when I surround myself with people who are also practicing gratitude or living a positive and spiritual life, it makes it a little easier for me to stay on track. When I struggle, there are positive supports. And when they struggle, I have their back with positive supports.
On these sleepy mornings, one person I am grateful for is Deborah Perdue. While we have never met in person we have emailed many times about the power of gratitude and the hope that one day we can combine our services to offer something truly amazing to the people we serve.
Since having my daughter, Deborah has had my back. She sent me the most beautiful Gratitude Journal to help me renew my personal practice and then just a few weeks ago she sent me a copy of her Daily Gratitude Reflections book. I love reading her thoughts each day as I eat breakfast. It is just one more positive support to bolster me and help me continue to grow.
I'm grateful for Deborah and her friendship. I'm grateful for her beautiful book. I'm grateful for the inspiration and courage she gives me as I think of making my own gratitude book. I'm grateful for her generous gifts that have warmed my heart. And I'm grateful for the day that we combine our strengths. I'm grateful for grateful friends, new and old, young and wise that give me a beautiful well-rounded picture of this world through positive eyes. I'm grateful to provide a view of gratitude in return.
Who do you choose to hang around? How do you feel after hanging out with each of your friends?
May today allow us to see the who we are choosing to become through the friendships we hold. May we choose to spread light and love to the world around us. Have a beautiful day!
