Miracle Max and I have known each other for quite a while now and although we met in a completely different context we learned that each of us were massage therapists. Since then he has helped keep my muscles loose so I can continue to help others relax. We try to trade massages once a month, though it has been a bit more difficult since my daughter arrived.
About a month ago, as I was grieving a loss, he came bearing gifts. Not only did I get a massage sans trade but he brought me other gifts too. He had brought me beautiful 3D butterfly magnets to put around my home or massage room. And he brought me a massage chair, nearly new and complete except for the piece that holds the face-rest.
I had been borrowing a chair from work to do monthly work at a bank which added to my commute time as I had to drive to work to get the chair first. Miracle Max said he had no use for his anymore and I was welcome to it. Today is the first day I will get to use this new massage chair. It is newer and nicer that the one I had been borrowing and it is here and ready for me to just plop in the back of my car this morning.
I'm so grateful to be blessed with the wonderful, generous people in my life. I'm grateful to strive to be as generous to others as they are to me. I'm grateful for this beautiful massage chair. I'm grateful for the ease of having one to just fold up and take with me on a whim. I'm grateful for the beautiful butterflies that adorn my home and massage room and all the symbolism they hold. I'm grateful to have such a beautiful, kind, and generous friend in my life. I'm grateful for my real life Miracle Max.
Who has gone above and beyond for you? Whose gesture or kindness has made your life easier?
May today remind us to celebrate the people in our lives. May we find ways to give back and add to this loving world. Have a beautiful day!
