Today is the first Full Moon of the year and with it brings a lot of reflections, for me, as I decide what I want to create both in my personal life and business this year. Having set my intentions during the New Moon a couple weeks ago, today is now a day to take action on those. I find myself in the interesting place of trying to read the silence. I decided last night to renew my daily morning yoga practice that has fallen off in the last six months to near non-existence. In return my body woke me at 4:30 am, eager to start. I'm set the intention to exercise more, eat better, and even though I have added an additional job to my schedule, to still keep my coaching practice a priority. Last night my fiancé and I had a long talk about balance. We were specifically discussing the balance between having a good, healthy, supportive routine and yet allowing the flexibility within it so that it does not create additional stress. The reason my yoga practice had fallen off is I had gotten to the point where it was forced. I was requiring myself to get up too early on days I needed sleep more and on days I missed I was then judging myself and feeling guilt for taking the time to sleep instead. The result was that in forcing myself to do it, I did not get the benefits because it was not in line with my heart. I'm grateful to get back to my practice today under the nearly full moon. I'm grateful to have this recognition of the pattern and judgement I had created. I'm grateful to let those thoughts go as I give myself love. I'm grateful to know that doing yoga in the morning AND not doing yoga in the morning are equally good for me as long as I am listening to my body's needs. I'm grateful for the light of the moon that renews my spirit and stirs me to action. I'm grateful for the motivation of a new year to create new things in my life. Are any of your actions feeling more clear today? Is there something you are ready to create for yourself in this new year and under the strength of the Full Moon? May your day be blessed with loving reflection and may those reflections help guide you in your next steps. Have a beautiful day!
