One nice thing about the cold weather was it made the day seem more laid back. The extended family just hanging out and talking all day made it easy to forget that nap times were being missed and that the day was passing.
Even last night as I was in bed it felt like time was frozen or moving in slow motion. I woke up three times but each time I looked at my watch to find that I still had plenty of hours to sleep left. It was such a nice gift.
I'm grateful for days of just relaxing. I'm grateful to get to chill out with my mom's whole family. I'm grateful to see everyone for Easter. I'm grateful to watch my daughter playing with my cousin or trying to play with the kids even if she doesn't quite have the social skills figured out yet. I'm grateful for good conversation. And I'm grateful to just slow down and feel time is frozen for a few moments.
When do you feel like time is standing still? How do you find ways to enjoy it?
May today give us plenty of time for the things that need done. May we take the time to enjoy the people we are with in the moment. Have a beautiful day!
