While I am feeling pretty tired as the week goes on I'm happy to see my body falling into a routine. I wake, meditate, blog, get ready, wake the dogs, and then the three of us go eat. I wake and kiss my husband just before I leave to start my workday.
It is a simple routine but one that is working well. And as it becomes automatic it makes the transitions smoother.
I'm grateful for this routine to ease my morning. I'm grateful for the time to meditate when I am still half asleep. I'm grateful to wake before my alarm so as not to disturb my husband's sleep as much. I'm grateful for my strength and persistence that allows this schedule to be possible. And, of course, I will be very happy on Saturday when this temporary schedule is no longer needed and I can return to sleeping until my husband wakes.
I'm also grateful for the shift this schedule has made in coaxing me to bed earlier in the evening. I'm grateful for dark showers and some quiet, peaceful time to myself as I drift off to sleep. And I'm grateful to wake to the man I love laying next to me.
What routines have you been forming? Are they routines that support you and your needs at this time? If not, how can you shift these routines to meet your needs?
May today show you the variety of your strengths. May you recognize the routines that support you and may you find ways to follow through with this support. Have a beautiful day!
