Veteran's Day is a day each year honoring those who gave great sacrifice for this country's safety and freedom. It is a day to honor their courage. It is a day to say thank you.
While I do not want to diminish this day for those who served our country, I would also like to extend this blog today for all the forms of bravery we each exhibit in our lives, through the changes and challenges. Every person I have known has shown bravery and courage in making it to the point they are today. It does not require a war overseas to display courage. Facing the battle within or even finding a peaceful way around a battle are also forms of bravery.
I'm so grateful for those who gave sacrifice to protect our freedoms here in the U.S. and did what they felt was necessary to protect others' as well. I'm grateful to have had the choice to support without participation. I'm grateful for all the forms of bravery I have displayed in my lifetime. I'm grateful to see courage in my family and friends as well. I'm grateful to help those seeking to rebuild their personal power to use their courage in constructive ways for that process. And I'm grateful to honor this bravery.
When was a time you were brave? When have you shown courage? If you can't think of a dozen times, ask your family or friends. Sometimes they see what we overlook.
May today bless all the Veterans with love and support. May the troops be safe today. And may we find the courage to acknowledge our own bravery. Have a beautiful day!
