It's amazing how something so simple can make such a huge impact. This is not new information, of course, considering I have been practicing daily gratitude for a number of years and now coach others in how to strengthen their practice. But all the same it is a beautiful feeling when I take the time to focus on gratitude and the joy that comes from it.
I'm grateful for a heart that can hold so much gratitude and joy! I'm grateful for the wonderful, solid, and dynamic man I married. I'm grateful for the personalities of each of my dogs. I'm grateful for all the opportunities and ideas that have come in over the last five days that show me how much I have to offer this world. I'm grateful to laugh at the cosmic humor in my life and even more grateful to laugh at my husband's jokes and humor. I am truly blessed in so many ways and I'm happy to take the time to allow my heart to catch up with my mind on feeling this abundance of joy.
Allow yourself just five minutes to think of something you are grateful for and then feel that joy and blessing in your heart. How does it feel to you when your heart and spirit lifts with this joy? For me it is almost a giddiness. Are you willing to challenge yourself to do this five times today? How much difference will it make in your day by taking these five short breaks to focus on how blessed you are today? The choice is up to you.
