I love this picture of the Tulip as the storm clouds roll in. I love the idea of standing tall in the storm and knowing everything ail be ok, the storm clouds will roll through, and the sunlight will return. But I also love that this is a story. I define how I see my world and what I define as a storm may be a fun challenge to the next person or a light breeze to someone else. We all have our experiences that shape how we define things and there is nothing wrong with that at all. In fact it keeps life dynamic and interesting. But like standing tall in the storm also requires flexibility to move in the wind so as not to break; so does my story need flexibility if it is to serve me. My story is not meant to hinder me nor keep me from thriving. My story is never meant to hold me back or hold me down. My story is meant to help me navigate and learn by how I have interpreted those lessons before. And it is meant to give me words to relate it to others so we may learn from each other how to write our own story. I'm so grateful for my story. I'm grateful for its flexibility and the lessons I learn that allow me to rewrite it. I'm grateful for success, not defined by money or career but rather defined as my own joy. I'm grateful to see that I can not fail unless I choose to see it that way to serve a different lesson I feel I needed to witness. I'm grateful to not need that lesson. I'm grateful to see each change as a shift toward something greater. I'm grateful for the flexibility to allow change and dream new things for myself. And most of all, I'm grateful for the joy in my heart that tells me I am moving in the right direction. Joy is my compass and when I follow it, all change is success. So what storms are rolling into your life? What are you using as a compass? Can you still feel the joy in your heart if you are navigating with something else? How will you remain flexible in the storm and in your story? I'm so grateful to find my heart's message in my own and, more often, others' words. I'm grateful to listen. I'm grateful to accept success means sometimes letting things go. And I'm grateful for all the wonderful people in my life that support me, whether they understand my story or not. I'm so blessed. May your day be guided by the compass of your heart's joy. May the sun shine on you in love. Have a beautiful day!
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
