Each year I put a gratitude bowl out on the table at Thanksgiving. My extended family is all offered the opportunity to write in a gratitude to share. Here are some of the responses this year:
"Thankful for family and life"
"I am thankful for the love of family and friends. Amen."
"Turkeys that aren't pardoned"
"I'm thankful for my wonderful family, turkey, pie, and a day of blessings, love and abundance."
"A big happy family with a new one on the way!"
"Thankful for cuttin' turkeys"
"My family. They make me laugh and forget my worries!"
"Mommy"
And an ever so cute drawing of a dinosaur
I am so blessed and grateful to have such a wonderful family. I'm grateful to have so many great friends in my life. I'm grateful to take a road trip with my husband despite the icy weather. I'm grateful for safe travels for us and for everyone out on the roads this weekend and this coming week. I'm grateful to learn some about Sweden and my husband's Swedish heritage. I'm grateful to explore a very cool, old castle. And I'm grateful to "break bread" with family and for all those who have done so in the past. I'm grateful for a world of unity and love. And I'm grateful to do my part to help show love and gratitude.
Thanksgiving may be over but gratitude never goes out of season. What are you grateful for today? What did you enjoy about this last weekend? Who in your life inspires your love and gratitude?
May your heart be filled with love. May you find warmth in the blessings of gratitude. Have a beautiful day!
