I showered in the dark. I got ready for bed in the dark and within moments of laying down was fast asleep. I slept through the night and woke calmly just a few minutes before my alarm. I woke feeling fully supported by the darkness.
Today I am grateful for this deep, restful night's sleep. I'm grateful to have woke calmly so I can start this day in confidence. I'm grateful for last night's New Moon and the darkness it gave. I'm grateful for a hot shower in the dark and for the ability to sleep a little longer because I took this step last night. I'm grateful for my husband who has been so patient and supportive this week while I have been occupied with work. And I'm grateful for his love and support while I was feeling stressed and anxious the last two mornings.
While my body would love to sleep another couple hours, I am grateful for what I got today. I'm grateful for the weekend ahead. And I'm grateful for the support I feel in the cycles of Earth and the moon.
