This year, what if we dress as we dream and then take it one step farther to act as we dress. What if we used our costumes as archetypes and the positive traits they represent as a tool of empowerment. This year we can create ourselves stronger, more courageous, funnier, and honor our voices.
Archetypes can be so powerful and this holiday can be used to bolster who we want to be. Not only is it a fun holiday to allow our playful side to come out but it can be a tool of growth. So who will you dress as this year? What traits would you like to see more of in yourself?
I'm so grateful for the playfulness of Halloween. I'm grateful for the fun and creative ideas people come up with each year. I'm grateful to see the archetypes that emerge as people play the roles of superheroes and adventurers. I'm grateful to get creative with my husband for our daughter's outfit. I'm grateful to be a scuba family this year. But mostly I'm grateful to just be a family and celebrate this playful holiday together.
May today bless us with the ability to free ourselves enough to play. May we find our archetype in the costume we choose and embrace the traits we desire. Have a beautiful day!
