Good morning! Today I started the morning feeling off. Last night and this morning provided several disappointments and now I am left with a choice. It is a choice each of us have during each moment of the day. I can choose to accept this as a lesson and move on or I can choose to stew in this frustration. I won't lie, I have taken about 20 minutes already feeling the irritation and upset that it stirred. Yet there is a whole day ahead and I do not want to feel this way the rest of the day. And it is an exchange that I hope will not negatively impact the other person's day either. So I take a deep breath, I observe why I am feeling upset and acknowledge the other person is only relaying a message. Now I can proceed with my day in love and gratitude. I'm grateful to know there are other companies from which I may get the services I require today. I'm grateful to take deep breaths and acknowledge my feelings. I'm grateful to not spread those frustrations on to the customer service people who are merely doing their job. I'm grateful to choose action over frustration and find new solutions. I'm grateful to know I have a fun and happy day ahead and that I can step back into my flow right now. And I'm grateful to wake to big, puffy curly hair after having my hair tied up all night. With the holiday season in full force there may be some additional stresses that present themselves in the next couple weeks. How will you choose to handle them? Will you take a deep breath, allow the frustration to work itself out, and then proceed in love? Even if you do find yourself in the midst of losing your temper, it is never too late for a long deep breath. I'm grateful to have this outlet to share my story and I love hearing back from you about your own story. Have a beautiful day. May it be blessed with cheerful spirits and, when needed, deep loving breaths.
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
