I wrote it off as stress from the upcoming trip, birthday party, and need to get my daughter's new room accomplished before said party. I had tried a few things like meditation and even taking a couple days away from my blog to try to reduce the stress but neither helped. Here we are half a week post party and last night was the first night I have been able to sleep (with assistance). The catch is, the last few days the anxiety doesn't leave when I get out of bed.
For those who have experienced anxiety or panic attacks you know what it is like to be in this state. For those of you who never have, I pray you never do. Alas, I only have myself to blame because there were things along the way I could have done to help reduce this. I was practicing my normal self-care but because I had upped the stress level, I needed to up the care too.
I also found in some research yesterday that a couple vitamins and minerals may be low, such as vitamin C. Plus according to the times I was most affected a detox of my liver and spleen may be in order as well. For me, it never hurts to detox and remind myself to nourish my physical body as well.
The flood of stress hormones in my system also means I need more cardio exercise. It goes back to the fight or flight response. I need to sweat some of it out to help clear my system. Where there is a will, there is a way and I am determined to get myself back into balance.
I'm grateful for all these techniques for detoxing my anxiety; both what I already knew and what I have learned through research. I'm grateful for the motivation to dig deeper into self-awareness. I'm grateful to be taking steps to being my life back into a calm balance. I'm grateful for all those who helped o reduce my stress and assisted with all the projects and the party. I'm grateful to know I have an amazing support system. And I'm grateful to know I am supported by the universe as well.
What increases your stress or anxiety? How do you detox from a stressful day? What signs tell you that your out of balance? And what signs tell you balance has been achieved?
May today renew our commitment to ourselves. May we use the tools and techniques we need to be in healthy harmony. Have a beautiful day!
