Making the drive home alone I witnessed a few fears float through my mind but mostly I was impressed with the stillness of the dark. If I did not look over at his empty seat I could almost feel that he was still in the car. His love traveling along with me. The darkness provided comfort and serenity.
I came home and laid back down to rest because three hours sleep just does not cut it for this pregnant lady. I got a couple more hours of drifting in and out of sleep which may have been harder than just staying up had it not been for the sunshine coming through the window. Getting up I see the day is started with birds singing and cars moving down the street. There is a peace and comfort to this light.
This month at Project Joy I made my theme "Abundance". My goals were about taking the time to recognize the many forms abundance pours into my life every day and to take time to honor and find it in each situation. Abundance is all around me today, both in the darkness and in the sunshine but also in love.
I'm grateful for my goals around abundance. I'm grateful for the embrace of the darkness during my journey this morning. I'm grateful for the serene streets and easy drive of pre-commute traffic. I'm grateful to have a bit of rest when I returned home. I'm grateful for the sunshine now wrapping me in a beautiful abundance of light. I'm grateful for Project Joy and the people who come and share each month. And I'm grateful to know I am supported and loved abundantly.
How does abundance show up in your life? What is your favorite thing about the darkness? What is your favorite thing about sunshine? How can you use both to uplift you?
May today bless us with the vision to see our own abundance and blessings. May we find joy and support in all we do.
