Last night as I tucked myself into the cocoon of my bed, thinking about the small cocoon I too am providing for the child within me, I could not help but feel protected and loved. The weekend was not how I had envisioned going in and yet it was beautiful all the same. I am blessed with these beautiful, flexible cocoons.
I'm grateful for a day of celebration with my husband on Friday. I'm grateful for the fun we had playing in Parkville. I'm grateful for all the delicious food we came across and tasted. I'm grateful for a productive, yet fun day with my husband Saturday. I'm grateful to have a crib purchased and set up for the little one on the way. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to camp out for a night this weekend. I'm grateful for nature's embrace and the light of the full moon that shone on us. I'm grateful to listen to Stoney as a reminder of our first date over two and a half years ago. And I'm grateful to be with family on Sunday even if it was not in the way we may have chosen. I'm grateful for a beautiful and blessed weekend.
How was your weekend? In what ways do you have or provide a cocoon? How can you fall into the embrace today?
May today bless us with knowing we are supported. May we find love's cocoon and snuggle in while still remembering our ability to fly. Have a beautiful day!
